The fighter was looking to build a win streak in the UFC for the first time in his career after knocking off Timmy Cuamba in his last bout via unanimous decision. His opponent Onama will now need to find a replacement on just over a week's notice.

Almeida typically isn't a big volume guy, so it's imperative his blows do damage if he hopes to have any chance of winning a decision. On this night, he did just that. The win should ensure we see the 33-year-old back in the Octagon once again. Almeida improves to 2-2 in his UFC career.
