Set to face Bahamondes
Torres will take on Ignacio Bahamondes in a lightweight bout at UFC 306 in Las Vegas on Sept. 14, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Torres will look to stay perfect in the UFC. The Mexican fighter is 3-0-0 in the promotion and most recently defeated Chris Duncan with a Rear Naked Choke in the first found of a fight in February. His opponent Bahamondes, meanwhile, is three years younger but more experienced in the UFC with six fights under his belt. Bahamondes is also coming off a victory, defeating Christos Giagos in April.

Third straight stoppage win
Torres defeated Chris Duncan via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:46 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
You wouldn't know it by watching this fight, but Duncan is no pushover. That didn't stop Torres, who entered as a -170 favorite, from steamrolling to victory. Manuel has shown massive power early in his UFC run, but it was his submission game which put Duncan away. He powered his opponent to the mat, expertly taking his back and clamping on the rear-naked choke. The finish would go on to win him one of two $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses awarded on the evening. We'll have to see how Torres looks against better competition, but at 3-0 with the company with three stoppage wins under his belt, the future is bright for Manuel.

Will face Duncan in Mexico
Torres will take on Chris Duncan in a lightweight matchup at UFC Mexico on Feb. 24, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Torres is off to an electric run to his UFC career, recording first-round stoppage victories (with POTN bonuses) in each of his first two official UFC bouts. He'll now get a chance to fight in his native Mexico against a fellow up-and-coming who has won his first two UFC fights as well, albeit via decision. Torres has utilized tremendous striking volume to propel his career so far, but he'll need to be cautious of the wrestling capability of Duncan if he wants to remain unbeaten.

Remains perfect in UFC
Torres defeated Nikolas Motta via KO (elbow) a 1:50 of Round 1 at UFC on ESPN 47 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Torres looked shaky in the early going, keeping his chin far too high and getting clipped by Motta a handful of times, at which point he pushed forward and crushed his opponent with an elbow to the face which closed the proceedings in an instant. It would also go on to earn him a well-deserved $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. Torres earned his UFC opportunity with a first-round knockout win on Dana White's Contender Series in October 2021. He has since began his official run with the company with back-to-back Round 1 knockout victories. It's fair to wonder how Torres is going to fare if those massive finishing strikes don't materialize, but it's impossible to argue with the results this far.
