Up against hometown lightweight
Prado will fight Daniel Zellhuber in a lightweight bout at UFC Mexico on Feb. 24, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Zellhuber, a Mexican-born lightweight, will fight in his birth country, giving Prado a hometown disadvantage for his next bout. However, that will not stop him from trying to build a winning streak, which is possible after his mid-2023 win over Ottman Azaitar.

Youngster earns first UFC win
Prado defeated Ottman Azaitar via TKO (punches) at 4:05 of Round 1 at UFC on ESPN 49 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Prado turned just 21 years of age this past June, so all that matters at this point is that he remains healthy and gets consistent reps in the Octagon, but it's nice to see him emerge with his first UFC victory. Prado dropped a unanimous decision to Jamie Mullarkey in his company debut this past February, but rebounded to stop Azaitar here and earn a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. It began with a short elbow that floored Ottman, followed by countless unanswered strikes which forced referee Chris Tognoni to step in. There are going to be some bumps along the way considering how young Prado is, but this sky is theoretically the limit given what we have already seen from him.

Will fight Azaitar
Prado will take on Ottman Azaitar in a lightweight bout at a UFC event on July 15 in Las Vegas, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Prado, at just 20 years old, is coming off his first and only professional loss to this point. Back in February, he was knocked off by Jamie Mullarkey via unanimous decision. Now, he'll face Azaitar, who is 13 years his senior and is also coming off his first professional MMA defeat.

Drops decision in UFC debut
Prado lost to Jamie Mullarkey via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC 284 on Saturday in Perth, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Stepping in for Nasrat Haqparast (undisclosed) on about a month's notice, Prado wasn't competitive in his UFC debut. His inability to defend the takedown hampered his ability to generate any sort of consistent offense. While this performance was discouraging, it's important to note that at 20 years of age, Prado is now one of the youngest active fighters on the UFC roster. He won't be 21 years of age until mid-June, so the most important thing for Prado at this point is simply that he remains healthy and continues to compete on a regular basis.

Stepping in at UFC 248
Prado will step in for Nasrat Haqparast (undisclosed) in the lightweight bout against Jamie Mullarkey at UFC 248 on Feb. 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Prado will make his UFC debut Feb. 11 in place of Haqparast, who was removed for undisclosed reasons. The 20-year-old Argentinian is 11-0-0 in his MMA career, including an undefeated record across six fights in the Samurai Fight House promotion. Prado also stands 5-foot-10 and has a foundation in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Taekwondo. He'll take on a UFC veteran in Mullarkey, who stands two inches taller and has a three-inch reach advantage. The 28-year-old Australian is 3-3 in his UFC career and is coming off a split-decision win over Michael Johnson at the UFC Fight Night event on July 9.
