Will take on Ribovics
Zellhuber will take on Esteban Ribovics in a lightweight bout in UFC Noche at Sphere in Las Vegas on Sep. 14.
ANALYSIS
Zellhuber defeated Francisco Prado via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night in his most recent event in February this year, and he did it with the support of his fans in Mexico, but fighting in Las Vegas is a different animal, so it remains to be seen if he'll be ready to handle that. The numbers back the Mexican up, however, as he's gone 15-1 in his career while gunning for a third straight performance bonus in this fight, arguably one of the biggest ones of his career.

Strong effort in native Mexico
Zellhuber defeated Francisco Prado via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
This was arguably Zellhuber's most impressive performance to date. Not only did he have to fight through some difficult moments early on, but his fight IQ was on display throughout. Zellhuber is massive for the lightweight division at 6-foot-1. He is very good at staying on the outside and picking his opposition apart. Prado is young and inexperienced, which made Daniel's job a bit easier. Zellhuber looked lousy in his UFC debut against Trey Ogden back in September 2022, but he's run off three straight wins since. Given his age -- 25 this coming July -- and frame, Zellhuber has legitimate long-term potential at 155 pounds. He'll also take home an extra $50,000 here after this bout was awarded Fight of the Night honors.

Home fight scheduled
Zellhuber will fight Francisco Prado in a lightweight bout at UFC Mexico on Feb. 24, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Zellhuber will fight in his birth country of Mexico. He stands a good chance to log his third consecutive win after strong victories over Lando Vannata and Christos Giagos, respectively.

Secures second straight win
Zellhuber defeated Christos Giagos via submission (anaconda choke) at 3:26 of Round 2 at Noche UFC on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's a second straight victory for Zellhuber, although he had to work considerably harder here than in his unanimous decision win over Lando Vannata this past April. Still just 24 years of age, Daniel ate a huge left hand from Giagos in the early going which sent him stumbling and appeared to have the youngster in real trouble. Zellhuber managed to settle things down later in the frame before forcing Giagos to tap to a beautiful anaconda choke -- one that would go on to earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. There are almost certain to be some ups and downs along the way given Zellhuber's youth, but he's clearly a fighter to keep an eye on at 155 pounds moving forward.

Next lightweight fight scheduled
Zellhuber will fight Christos Giagos at UFC Fight Night 225 in Paradise on Sept. 16, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Zellhuber will look to build his first winning streak in the UFC by defeating Giagos in September. Both lightweight fighters are 1-1 in their last two fights but coming off wins each.
