2024 Fantasy Outlook
With the Chargers pushed up against the cap this offseason, much of the Jim Harbaugh era began with cuts or contract restructures, but the team was able to lure Dissly away from Seattle with a three-year, $14 million deal early in the free-agency period. Given that 6-8 behemoth Donald Parham remains on the roster and the Chargers also signed veteran option Hayden Hurst later in the offseason, Dissly - who has never recorded more than 350 receiving yards in his six NFL seasons - has competition for targets in his new locale. While he could be listed as a starter, the 28-year-old may end up making most of his mark as a blocker in a projected run-heavy offense. Read Past Outlooks
Leads team in targets, receptions
Dissly caught five of his six targets for 30 yards in the 27-17 win over the Titans on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Dissly led the team in targets and receptions, but he was effectively just a checkdown option in a game in which the Chargers attempted just 18 passes total. The seventh-year veteran does seem to have pushed Hayden Hurst out of the pass-catching tight end platoon role, as Hurst played just eight snaps for a second consecutive week. The lack of volume in the Los Angeles pass attacking will limit Dissly's fantasy production most weeks.

Dissly split tight-end reps with Noah Fant and Colby Parkinson last season but barely made a dent on the scoresheet with 34 receptions for 349 yards and three touchdowns through 15 games. He ended up missing the final three contests, including playoffs, with a knee injury that should be cleared up by training camp. As long as he's healthy, Dissly should handle plenty of snaps in 2023 because of his blocking acumen, but he's nothing more than a typical touchdown-dependent fantasy option.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
May earn larger role Week 16
Dissly could be in line for more targets in Saturday's game against the Chiefs with multiple Seattle pass catchers at risk of missing the contest.
ANALYSIS
Fellow tight end Noah Fant may be trending downward for the Christmas Eve game after sitting out the first two practices of the week with a knee injury, potentially clearing the way for Dissly to pick up the start. Meanwhile, Tyler Lockett is already ruled out with a hand injury, so if Fant joins Lockett on the sideline, Dissly could assume some of the vacated targets. Dissluy already comes into the game with a career-high 33 receptions and 330 receiving yards on the season.
