Rest-of-Season Projections
Signed to Bolts' active roster
The Chargers signed Tomlinson from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
ANALYSIS
The move corresponds with DJ Chark (hip) being placed on injured reserve. Tomlinson caught on with the Chargers' practice squad after failing to make the Colts' 53-man roster at the conclusion of training camp. The 11-year veteran will serve as the fourth tight end on the Chargers' depth chart behind Will Dissly, Hayden Hurst and Stone Smartt.

Tomlinson inked a one-year deal with the Broncos this offseason after playing in Baltimore in 2021. The 30-year-old tight end appeared in all 17 games, but only managed to record one catch for seven yards. Tomlinson will likely operate primarily as a blocker in Denver, so the veteran shouldn't pose much of a threat to Albert Okwuegbunam or Greg Dulcich in the tight end ranks.
