No longer dealing with illness
Weatherspoon was not listed on the team's injury report released Monday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to the report, Weatherspoon had been dealing with an illness of sorts. With his name clear from the dreaded weekly report, the expectation is that Weatherspoon will be ready for the team's game against the Saints on Thursday.

Weatherspoon will aim to become the Karlos Dansby or Antonio Cromartie of 2015: the veteran looking to turn around his career on a one-year, prove-it deal with the Cardinals. The oft-injured Weatherspoon has dealt with an array of ailments throughout his five-year career, including a torn Achilles last June that erased the 2014 season. However, if he follows in the footsteps of Dansby and Cromartie with a bounce-back campaign, Weatherspoon will have every opportunity to do so with a vacancy at inside linebacker next to Kevin Minter. Keep in mind that Weatherspoon's sole injury-free season, 2011, produced 113 tackles (80 solo) and four sacks across 16 games.
