2024 Fantasy Outlook
Taylor handled the most carries (32) over his three-year tenure with Green Bay in 2023 while backing up Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. This resulted in a new high-water mark for Taylor in production (141 yards from scrimmage), while averaging a healthy 4.4 yards per carry. The Memphis product signed on with San Francisco this offseason to compete for a backup/special teams role behind star running back Christian McCaffrey. Read Past Outlooks

No touches Thursday
RBSan Francisco 49ers
December 13, 2024
Taylor was on the field for three offensive snaps (six percent) and did not record a touch in Thursday's 12-6 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Taylor had an outside chance of starting Thursday's contest after fill-in starter Issac Guerendo missed multiple practices with a foot injury. The latter got a limited session in Wednesday before ultimately starting and logging 16 carries for 57 yards in the loss. Taylor did not record a touch while spending most of his night on special teams (17 snaps). With a few extra days of rest between Thursday's loss and next Sunday's tilt against Miami, Guerendo figures to start again for the 6-8 49ers in Week 16.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
2021
Taylor is entering his fourth season with the Packers, and he heads into training camp as the favorite to secure the third spot on the depth chart. His experience works in his favor, but he has averaged only 3.6 YPC for his career, and he will be pushed by the other running backs vying for a roster spot.
Taylor took the first carries of his NFL career in 2021 and averaged a respectable 3.9 YPC on 23 totes -- the third most on the team among players at his position. The Packers did little at the running back position over the offseason and fellow ball carrier Kylin Hill is still recovering from a knee injury, so heading into training camp Taylor is the favorite to open the season as Green Bay's No. 3 running back behind Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon.
Injuries limited Taylor in his 2020 rookie season, but he is healthy and ready to compete with Kylin hill and Dexter Williams for a roster spot.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely to remain backup Week 15
RBSan Francisco 49ers
December 12, 2024
Taylor's expected to remain in a backup role Thursday against the Rams, as sources tell Adam Schefter of ESPN that Isaac Guerendo plans to play despite spraining his foot in Sunday's win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Taylor would be next in line for starts if Guerendo were to join the injured Christian McCaffrey, Jordan Mason and Elijah Mitchell on the sidelines. Those three running backs are on injured reserve due to knee, ankle and hamstring injuries, respectively. In Week 14 against the Bears, Guerendo got 15 carries to Taylor's seven, with most of the latter's workload coming after Guerendo exited the game due to his foot sprain in the fourth quarter.
