ANALYSIS
Rice was waived by the Titans on Tuesday, and it didn't take him long to land in a new spot. New Orleans may have signed Rice as insurance behind Pete Werner, who missed Week 13 with an oblique injury, though Werner returned to practice in a limited fashion Wednesday. Rice played in 12 games for Tennessee before being let go, and he totaled 26 tackles (14 solo) over 82 defensive snaps.

The Titans made a significant investment in Rice when they selected him in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He took a solid step forward in his second season as a pro, tallying 66 tackles and one pass defended. With David Long moving on to Miami this offseason, Rice should move into a full-time role in the Titans' linebacker corps and be in line to rack up a ton of tackles while playing alongside offseason acquisition Azeez Al-Shaair.
