Selected in the third round of the 2024 Draft, Liufau offers good upside as a linebacker who can get to the ball quickly and disrupt plays. The Cowboys don't have a pressing need in the middle of the defense with Damone Clark and Eric Kendricks set for big roles and 2023 third-round pick DeMarvion Overshown returning from ACL surgery, so Liufau may not see enough snaps as a rookie to make a big IDP impact. The outside linebacker replaced starter DeMarvion Overshown after the latter exited the game with a knee injury in the third quarter. Overshown's injury is not believed to be serious, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. That could limit Liufau's playing time moving forward, as he has only played on more than 50 percent of the defensive snaps once this season.
