2024 Fantasy Outlook
Clark fell to the fifth round in the 2022 Draft due to spinal fusion surgery, but he looked 100 percent healthy in 2023 as he stepped into a starting role and racked up 109 tackles. The 23-year-old linebacker has the speed to make plays from sideline to sideline, but a lack of coverage skills puts a cap on his snaps and IDP upside. The Cowboys swapped out oft-injured Leighton Vander Esch for Eric Kendricks this offseason, giving Clark healthier competition for the primary role in the middle of new defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer's scheme. Leading tackler Sunday
Clark recorded a team-high nine tackles, including 0.5 sacks, in Sunday's loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
With Eric Kendricks (calf) sidelined, it was Clark and not DeMarvion Overshown who stepped up as the Cowboys' leading tackler. Clark had fallen out of the linebacker rotation completely just one week before, however, seeing zero defensive snaps and 18 special-teams snaps in a Week 5 win over the Steelers. With Kendricks able to use Dallas' bye to get healthy, Clark may not maintain a fantasy-friendly role in Week 8 against the 49ers.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Spinal fusion surgery caused the LSU product to plummet to the fifth round in the 2022 draft, but rather than sitting out his entire rookie year as was widely expected, Clark played 10 games and set a Next Gen Stats record in his NFL debut for the top sprint speed ever recorded by a linebacker. With Micah Parsons lining up all over the defense, Clark should slot into a starting role, and his elite speed could make him an IDP sleeper.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could see expanded role in 2023
Leighton Vander Esch and the Cowboys haven't made any progress in contract talks, per Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, which could leave Clark as Dallas' starting middle linebacker in 2023.
ANALYSIS
If Vander Esch leaves in free agency, Clark would be in position to ascend to the top of the depth chart. The Cowboys have holes to fill at other positions and may be willing to roll with Clark as their starter at middle linebacker after the 2022 fifth-round pick posted 47 tackles in just 10 games as a rookie, including five starts.
