2024 Fantasy Outlook
Parkinson signed a three-year, $22.5 million contract with the Rams in the offseason after spending four years in Seattle, and with Tyler Higbee expected to miss a significant portion of the 2024 season due to a torn ACL suffered in January, there's a nice opportunity for Parkinson to sit atop an NFL depth chart for the first time in his career. In each of the past two seasons, Parkinson had exactly 25 catches and two touchdowns on 34 targets, though his yardage total fell from 322 in 2022 to 247 in 2023. Higbee averaged 87.7 targets over the previous three seasons, so Parkinson should see a substantial uptick in volume even with the Rams funneling a vast majority of their touches to RB Kyren Williams and WRs Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. Read Past Outlooks
Makes pair of catches
Parkinson secured both of his targets for 13 yards during Monday's 27-9 wild-card win over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Tyler Higbee (chest) looked primed to have a career day early, with five catches for 58 yards in just 12 snaps before exiting the contest with a chest injury. The trio of Rams' tight ends behind Higbee in the pecking order each recorded 13 receiving yards, with Davis Allen catching a touchdown in the second quarter. Parkinson's 33 snaps on offense were more than Allen (19) and Hunter Long (22), but with Higbee not expected to miss any additional time with his injury, Parkinson will likely revert back to his rotational role as a backup against the Eagles in the divisional round.

With just 15 receptions through the first 14 games of last season, Parkinson was barely on the fantasy radar until Will Dissly hurt his knee. Parkinson showed some spark down the stretch with 10 catches for 128 yards and a touchdown in Weeks 16-18. The 6-7 tight end will always show some red-zone appeal when he's in the rotation, but that isn't a certainty this year with Noah Fant and Dissly still around.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could see heavy usage sans Nacua
Parkinson could see a bigger role in the Rams' passing game after wide receiver Puka Nacua was placed on injured reserve Wednesday due to a knee injury.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that Nacua's knee injury is "unique," and the second-year wide receiver could miss more than the four-game minimum required while on IR, per Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register. Demarcus Robinson is set to serve as the No. 2 wide receiver behind Cooper Kupp in Nacua's absence, but Parkinson's 6-foot-7 frame should generate more looks from quarterback Matthew Stafford, especially in the red zone. Parkinson is the top tight end for the Rams due to Tyler Higbee starting the season on the reserve/PUP list while recovering from a torn ACL and MCL in his right knee he sustained in the playoffs last season.
