Leaving Kentucky for draft
FKentucky
April 9, 2019
Washington announced Tuesday that he would sign with an agent and enter the 2019 NBA Draft, Jeff Borzello of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Signing with an agent won't officially spell an end to Washington's eligibility, but the big man indicated he plans to forgo his final two seasons of college given the likelihood that he'll be an early second-round selection in the draft at the very least. Washington likely boosted his stock by returning to school for his sophomore season, as he improved his numbers across the board while boosting his efficiency from the free-throw line and three-point range. The departures of Washington and the graduating Reid Travis means that Kentucky will have a new-look frontcourt in 2019-20.
