Keon Ellis

Ellis came to Alabama as a JuCo prospect with professional aspirations but didn't get much run after serving as a sixth man for much of his first campaign. He earned a starting role in 2022-23, however, which saw his scoring average double (12.1 points per game) to go along with significant upticks in rebounding (6.1 per game), assists (1.8 per game) and steals (1.9 per game). Though he likely could have lobbied for another season of eligibility, Ellis will instead elect to to the next step in his career. With J.D. Davison announcing his departure for the NBA just days later, the Tide will have some significant retooling to do in their backcourt in advance of next season.
