NFL.com Draft

On Tuesday, I participated in an NFL.com industry draft. It was a 1-QB, 2-RB, 3-WR, 1-FLEX, PPR. Here's my squad:

.6 WR Andre Johnson
.7 WR Larry Fitzgerald
.6 RB Peyton Hillis
.7 WR Brandon Lloyd
.6 RB Ryan Mathews
.7 RB Fred Jackson
.6 WR Braylon Edwards
.7 WR A.J. Green
.6 QB Eli Manning
.7 TE Brandon Pettigrew
.6 QB Jay Cutler
.7 Giants D
.6 WR Torrey Smith
.7 WR Earl Bennett
.6 RB Ben Tate
.7 K Alex Henery

Couple notes: Because the ratio of RB/WR started to QB started is 6:1 AND this is a PPR league, QBs are greatly devalued. Hence, the first eight picks being RB/WR. I picked a defense early, but the scoring system rewards defenses heavily (two points per sack and turnover, points for low-scoring, etc.). I'll drop Torrey Smith now that Lee Evans is in Baltimore, and I might even axe Ben Tate for another reserve back if he can't get healthy.

I like this team, especially the values with Hillis in Round 3 and Lloyd in Round 4 of a PPR. And I love getting Mathews in Round 5 - maybe he's a backup to Mike Tolbert, but he's clearly the more talented runner, and if he does wind up getting the bulk of the carries on that team, he could easily be a second-round value.
