Projections On A Tuesday

Split my two selections last night and increased my "blown save" record to three out of my four losses.

Seattle Mariners -150
Mariners 5, Twins 2
Michael Pineda improved to 5-2 with a stellar 7 innings of shutout ball, allowing only 3 hits and no BB and striking out 7.  Adam Kennedy provide all the offense the Mariners needed, going 2-3 with 1 run, 2 RBI and a HR.

Los Angeles Angels + 125
Athletics 5, Angels 4 in 10 innings
Jordan Walden (third blown save) and Fernando Rodney (combined: 2 ER in 1.1 IP, 2 hits, 2 BB, 3 K) wasted a solid outing by Joel Pineiro (7 innings, 3 ER on 7 hits and two BB while striking out 3).  Brett Anderson, although a bit wild (4 BB) was equally good in the ND (6.2 IP, 3 ER, 5 hits, 7 K).

SEASON RECORD: 6-4 (60|PERCENT|), + 80

Despite my success rate dropping to 60|PERCENT|, my account held steady at + 80.  With a full 15 games scheduled for today, I'm looking to increase my winnings with the following:

Florida Marlins - 115
Florida (24-16, 12-7 A); Ricky Nolasco (3-0, 3.02, 1.08)
New York (19-22, 8-12 H); Jon Niese (2-4, 5.03, 1.47)

Recent Trends:  The Mets are 2-8 in Niese's last 10 home starts.  The Marlins are 6-2 in their last 8 head-to-head meetings with the Mets.  The Mets won 6-4 when these two pitchers faced each other earlier this season.

Kansas City Royals + 110
Kansas City (20-20, 15-9 H); Sean O'Sullivan (2-2, 3.79, 1.29)
Cleveland (25-13, 10-9 A); Carlos Carrasco (1-2, 5.29, 1.50)

Recent Trends:  The Indians have won the last four head-to-head meetings with the Royals.  Including the 19-1 thrashing last night, the Indians have outscored the Royals 43-9 in those four games.  The last Royals win over Cleveland came when O'Sullivan started back in April, and the Royals have won the last two times he faced the Indians.

Texas Rangers + 125
Texas (22-19, 7-10 A); Matt Harrison (3-4, 4.35, 1.40)
Chicago (17-25, 5-12 H); John Danks (0-6, 4.50, 1.44)

Recent Trends:  The White Sox are 1-10 in their last 11 home games and 3-7 in their last 10 Tuesday games.  The Rangers are 3-7 in their last 10 road games and 2-6 in their last 8 games following a win.  The Rangers have won 2 of the last 3 head-to-head meetings with the White Sox, including a 3-1 win over Danks.
