-Both the Seahawks and Bengals botched clock management right before halftime. Neither was as bad as the Eric Mangini timeout usage before/after two-minute warning.
-Should we start believing in the Seattle defense? Could this be the 2009 version of the opportunistic New Orleans Saints?
-Horrible week for survivor unless someone actually went with Washington, which did not happen in either of my leagues.
-More flukey? The Chiefs being 3-0 or the 49ers being 0-3? You're a sucker for torture if you're invested in Jamaal Charles (as I am). I might have an open letter to Todd Haley later this week if I'm bored.
-I focus a lot on the Bills living in the budding Metropolis known as Buffalo. The Patriots defense is bad if they allowed 30 points to the Bills. Ditto for Baltimore; there's no excuse for allowing Peyton Hillis 144 rushings yards. Note to Chan Gailey: giving C.J. Spiller touches can produce touchdowns. Brilliant to put Trent Edwards on the trading block when his value is at the lowest; maybe they'll get an eighth round pick for him.
-I'm beginning to think David Garrard isn't a good quarterback. The same goes for anyone in a Carolina single-numbered jersey. Downgrade all receivers on both teams.
-Roy Williams isn't dead yet but I'd rather be starting Dez Bryant (don't run out of bounds!) going forward if I had to make the decision.
-Antonio Gates is kind of good. At least that's my opinion. What A.J. Smith is doing with Vincent Jackson is perplexing and I'm pretty sure that's recycled info from me. To hear Bill Cohwer defend Smith is odd and I rarely agree with Sterling Sharp.
-I was very, very wrong about Kyle Orton who appears to have a nice season ahead of him. Thomas, Gaffney and Royal are a nice and underrated set of receivers.
-It's a squirrel/acorn thing (being this fall) but I suggested to an old friend using Austin Collie over Brandon Jackson this week. For the record, I had sold off Champ Bailey being 32 but he's been great to say the least. Kudos to Mike Shanahan who traded Clinton Portis for Bailey and now has…oh wait Portis. Great run by Portis who slid like an immobile quarterback on a long run anticipating contact during yesterday's game.
-Brett Favre isn't that good and I don't think that is going to change any time soon.
-Umm, I'm thinking Pittsburgh should be the favorite to win the Super Bowl. 3-0 and Big Ben isn't back yet? Defense wins championships and sidebet me with a single team if you think otherwise.
-The Giants/Titans game got chippy and I'd expect more of the same going forward for the Titans.
-I respect Mark Stopa's opinion a ton and mentioned this after reading his "Working the Wire" article last Monday:
FWIW (at it doesn't seem like he's that old), Sammy Morris is 33.5. I'd rather go BGE.

We've all heard the lawyer jokes here and there's likely more fun to be had with Morehead getting a TD run. The truth is he looks like a high school version of Wes Welker and I would stay away from him. Bid appropriately here peeps and don't be afraid to make an aggressive bid on BenJarvus.
-There were a bunch of calls reversed using replay and thus changing the score and possession. My question is: are refs calling the obvious and waiting for replay to prove them wrong?
-Questionable decisions/suspensions aside, Braylon Edwards looks less criminal without the extended beard, no?
-Who needed the win more today – Dallas or Minnesota?
-The Corona beach commercial during the Miami/Jets game was awesome.
-Antonio Cromartie, how much of your game check do you actually see?
-Jake Long or Joe Thomas who would you rather have?
-I used to love to watch (here on the East Coast) late night college football games and thus enamoring me with Devone Bess. If you're in a PPR league, he should be on your radar.
-I'm thinking I should have spent my youth kicking a football and not a soccer ball. Why there's such debacles at the kicking position these days – looking at you Sebastian Janikowski and Garrett Hartley – is beyond me.
-Announcers for the games have improved greatly in my opinion. Fouts immediately critiqued the use of time with Seattle and whoever was doing the Atlanta/New Orleans game pointed out that Matt Bryant was missing to the right during pregame (even though he didn't).
-I like the use of Justin Forsett but I'd also think Leon Washington should be used more on offense.
-I hope I didn't jinx Jahvid Best by saying he wasn't going to last the whole season. Looking at LeSean McCoy the presence of Mike Bell knocks his fantasy value down a good amount.
-LaDainian Tomlinson is the better back in NY right now, correct?
-Anquan Boldin had a monster fantasy game and just missed grabbing his fourth TD late in the game.
-Hopefully tonight's game will make up for the lack of fireworks during the Cowboys/Texans game. I'll take the Packers giving the 3 points.
