Acy opened up the 2016-17 campaign with the Mavericks, but barely saw the floor and was eventually waived in mid-November after just six games. He remained without a team until early January, when the Nets opted to bring him in on a pair of 10-day contracts, before inking him to a deal for the rest of the season. In 32 games with the Nets, Acy was still stuck in a relatively minor role off the bench, finishing with averages of 6.5 points and 3.3 rebounds across 15.9 minutes. While he's back with the Nets for his first full season in Brooklyn, Acy is going to have a tough time finding significant playing time yet again. He spent the majority of his minutes at power forward, but with both Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Trevor Booker still around, that leaves him third at best on the depth chart. The Nets also drafted center Jarrett Allen in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft and he'll be the backup to starting center Timofey Mozgov, which again adds more frontcourt bodies ahead of Acy. Look for Acy's role to remain relatively the same or potentially even decline a bit in 2017-18, thus keeping his Fantasy upside extremely restricted.
