After being out of the rotation for much of the 2016-17 campaign, Johnson re-established his worth and doubled his playing time, this past season, going from 11.9 minutes to 20.1 minutes. However, that only translated to averages of 5.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.0 steal and 0.8 three-pointers. Johnson also hit just 33.9 percent of his three-pointers and 74.1 percent of his free-throws, so he wasn't as efficient as the Clippers had hoped. While Blake Griffin is completely out of the picture, the Clippers still have Danilo Gallinari and brought in Luc Mbah a Moute during free agency, so Johnson will likely sit as the third string small forward to start the year. As a result, he's unlikely to see added playing time heading into the upcoming season and can once again be passed by on draft day.
