Recommended Pickup
Luke Gregerson, P, SDP: Gregerson has taken over the Padres' closing job with Huston Street still on the DL and Dale Thayer on paternity leave. Gregerson has now converted three successful save opportunites and will maintain his role until Street is healthy enough to return while Thayer will likely return to a set-up role upon his return. Meanwhile, after a recent setback in his rehab, it remains unclear exactly when Street will come back.

Gregerson has put together four very strong major league seasons and now owns a career 2.94 ERA. His current 2.39 ERA in 2012 is the best mark of his career thus far. He will also get his share of strikeouts as he has been sitting down 9.25 men per nine innings. For the short term, he should receive a few more save opportunities. For a fantasy team in the midst of the playoffs or in another situation where they need saves, Gregerson could prove immensely valuable.

Other Recent Recommendations: A.J. Griffin, Xavier Nady, Carlos Villanueva, Michael Saunders, Casey Kelly
