Closer Watch
Athletics - Brian Fuentes has recorded a blown save in two out of his last four appearances for Oakland, and over last five times on the moung he has given up an atroshious seven earned runs over 3.1 innings. Even with that in mind, Bob Melvin may still give Fuentes a chance to redeem himself as the closer is one of the most veteran players on the team.

Recommended Pickup

Alexi Ogando, P, TEX -- After pitching 31.2 relief innings for the Rangers this year, Ogando will be asked to start Sunday for the first time since last year when he was a regular in the rotation. Ogando has been great out the pen putting up 8 holds, with 33 strikeouts, over 31.2 innings, which was good enough for a lot of fantasy owners digging through the waiver wires to pick him up. While Ogando will be held to only 70 pitches, it may be enough to prove be an effective fantasy option against a not so impressive Giants roster, which will be at a pitchers park, against a lineup that won't have a designated hitter. There is no doubt that Ogando has what it takes to be a legit fantasy starter for anyone who can get their hands on him while he is on the waiver wire, and if you need a last minute win, or some K's, he could be your man to give you the edge this week.
Other Recent Recommendations: Justin Maxwell, Michael Saunders, Jarrod Parker, Michael Fiers and Felix Doubront
