Closer Watch

Rockies - With a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth, Rex Brothers was only able to record one out before Jesus Guzman singled in Kyle Blanks to Friday's game. Brothers' has had a rough start in September having given up six runs, three of which were earned, over three innings, which has raised his ERA from 1.43 to 1.81. This blow up shouldn't effect Brothers' position as the Rockies closer, but if he continues to give up runs like he has so far this month it wouldn't be a surprise if he doesn't finish the season as the team's closer.

Key Matchups

Chris Colabello, 1B/OF, MIN - In a five game hitting streak from September 1-6 Colabello went 8-for-15, had three home runs, four runs, and eight RBIs, making him one of the hottest hitters in the bigs. Colabello is a 29-year-old rookie that looks like he has finally hit his groove, and should be given a serious look in deeper formats, and if he continues his hot streak for the rest of the month he will start becoming less available in all formats.
