Closer Watch
Athletics - Sean Doolittle struck out three, while giving up two hits in a four-out save Friday, his second of the season. Regular closer Grant Balfour was warming up in the bullpen, but manager Bob Melvin decided to stick with Doolittle, and it paid off. This may have been a strategy to keep Balfour fresh as he pitched the previous night, but there is no indication as to whether Dootlittle will get another opportunity to pick up another save this season.
Astros - Josh Fields struck out two in the ninth to get his fifth save of the season Friday against the Angels. Fields ERA is a little scary at this point at 5.73, but that isn't all that bad considering that on August 12 it was at 7.59. Since then he has only given up three runs over 11.2 innings with 10 strike outs, four saves, and three holds to his name.

Chris Iannetta, C, LAA - From August 31 to Friday Iannetta has had a hit in eight games out of 10 with three home runs, five runs, and nine runs scored. There are around 10 catchers in fantasy baseball that are must starts while healthy, but after that the talent happens to drop off. While Iannetta does split time with Hank Conger, his productive bat makes him almost a must pick up in leagues with 10-plus teams or multiple catcher spots. Since Iannetta is available in just about every league at the moment, he should warrant looks from teams in all leagues while his bat is still hot.
