Drew Pomeranz, P, COL – The Rockies have wasted little time deploying the pieces from the Ubaldo Jimenez trade, bringing up Alex White last week and adding Pomeranz to the roster Sunday. Pomeranz has a high strikeout rate, but he will have to do a better job limiting free passes to win a spot in the rotation next spring. Pomeranz's upside is very attractive, so he will be a keeper option at worst. At best, Pomeranz could help down the season's final stretch stretch. He allowed just two hits and two walks in five scoreless innings in his debut, so hopefully you're not too late to the party.
