Dream11 Fantasy Soccer: Real Madrid v. Alaves Preview

This article is part of our Dream11 Fantasy Soccer series.

Game Preview

Real Madrid have looked almost unstoppable since the 2019-20 Liga season resumed last month, winning their first seven matches and propelling themselves to the top of the standings ahead of FC Barcelona. Los Merengues can't get complacent, however, because they know the job is far from over. They will take on Alaves on Friday in what promises to be a one-sided affair. While Los Blancos have gone undefeated at home this season – W13, D4 – Alaves rank as the second-worst away side in LaLiga, winning just two of 17 road (W2, D3, L12). To make things worse, Alaves have dropped their last five league matches, their last four games on the road, and have lost their last seven visits to Real Madrid – conceding at least three goals in each one of those losses. This seems like a game Real Madrid should win rather comfortably and by a sizable differential.

Top Picks

Karim Benzema, Real Madrid: Los Merengues won't have some of their most productive fantasy players in this matchup, but Benzema remains a strong option to create havoc in the final meters. The Frenchman has three goals and one assist while averaging 2.5 shots per game in six contests since the league's resumption, and he is likely to have, at least, a few chances to score in this one.

Isco, Real Madrid: Isco might not be playing much this season, but he gets an opportunity to shine in this game due to the absence of Eden Hazard and the inconsistencies of other alternatives, such as James Rodriguez or even Vinicius Junior. The former Malaga star has only one goal in 18 matches, but this might be his breakout performance right when the club needs him the most.

Captain and Vice-Captain Options

  1. Karim Benzema
  2. Isco
  3. Toni Kroos
  4. Thibaut Courtois
