Hall announced his retirement via Instagram on Wednesday, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Hall has decided to retire following his defeat at the hands of Andre Muniz in July. The 38-year-old Jamaican-American fighter finished with an 18-11 as a professional. Hall also defeated three of the greatest middleweights of all time in Anderson Silva, Chris Weidman, and Gegard Mousasi, during his UFC career.

No-shows UFC 276 loss
MiddleweightUFC
July 2, 2022
Hall lost to Andre Muniz via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC 276 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Muniz is going to be a problem for plenty of guys at 185 pounds, but he made for a particularly difficult opponent going up against a passive striker in Hall. Uriah has plenty of knockout power and has always been an underrated athlete, but it's difficult to win a three-round fight when you are controlled for more than ten minutes. Outside of a flurry in the final 15 seconds of Round 2, Hall generated nothing offensively. Uriah won four in a row from December 2018 to April 2021, but he's dropped back-to-back lopsided unanimous decisions since, and it's difficult to see things changing considering Hall will be turning 38 years of age in late-July.
New date with Muniz
MiddleweightUFC
April 22, 2022
Hall (undisclosed) agreed to fight Andre Muniz in a middleweight bout at UFC 276 on July 2, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The pair was originally scheduled to square off last week, but Hall was forced to withdraw for unspecified reasons. Hall is coming off a loss to Sean Strickland last July but won his previous four fights. Muniz last defeated Eryk Anders in December and carries a 4-0 record in the promotion since coming up from Dana White's Contender series in 2019.

Set to fight Muniz in April
MiddleweightUFC
January 27, 2022
Hall will face Andre Muniz at a UFC event on April 16, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport Nederland reports.

Not competitive in main event
MiddleweightUFC
July 31, 2021
Hall lost to Sean Strickland via unanimous decision (44-50, 45-50, 46-49) at UFC on ESPN 28 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was probably Hall's last chance to make a legitimate impact at 185 pounds, and it didn't go well. He seemed out of sorts from the get go. Hall has traditionally been a slow starter throughout the course of his career, but this was one fight where it really ended up costing him. He allowed Strickland to set the pace of the fight behind his jab and never truly recovered. Hall deserves credit for lasting as long as he did. He probably should have been stopped in Round 3, but referee Herb Dean allowed him to continue. Hall has legitimate fight-ending power, but he has never fought aggressively enough to get to it on a consistent basis. Hall turned 37 years of age on fight night. He is what he is at this point. He's been a valued and useful member of the UFC roster for a long time, but the odds of him getting to that next level many expected long ago are exceedingly slim.
