Draws Bannon in Manchester
Oliveira will take on Shauna Bannon in a strawweight matchup at the UFC event scheduled for July 27 in Manchester, England, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Oliveira made her UFC debut at bantamweight in July of 2023, falling to Bruna Brasil via unanimous decision. She'll now be dropping down two weight classes to strawweight, though her height and reach measurements are equivalent to those of Bannon. Bannon also dropped her UFC debut via unanimous decision to Tainara Lisboua last October.

Stepping in on short notice as a +240 underdog, Oliveira struggled for ten minutes before improving in Round 3. She was competitive for a portion of the opening frame before spending 4:47 of 5:00 in Round 2 on her back. It was abundantly clear at that point she needed a stoppage to win, and while it never materialized, Oliveira did land an impressive takedown and did some solid work on the mat in the final frame.
