Strong showing in debut win
Lisboa defeated Jessica-Rose Clark via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:20 of Round 3 at UFC on ABC 4 on Saturday in Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
It was a strong effort from Lisboa in her UFC debut in a bout in which she got increasingly better as the fight progressed. A noted stand-up specialist, Tainara displayed fast hands and excellent footwork. She mixed in a successful takedown, in addition to choking out Clark late in Round 3. At age 32, Lisboa is too old to be termed a "prospect," and she will undoubtedly face a stiffer test her next time out, but this was a nice start to her run with the company.
