Lisboa defeated Ravena Oliveira via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was a clear cut victory for Lisboa, but she had to work considerably harder against Oliveira than in her submission win over Jessica-Rose Clark in her UFC debut this past May. Tainara started strong, overwhelming Oliveira with both her striking and grappling over the course of the first ten minutes, but she tired in Round 3 and dropped the frame on all three scorecards. It didn't end up mattering, but the Brazilian will have to work on keeping that same high-end pace for 15 minutes if she hopes to have continued success moving forward.

Lisboa defeated Jessica-Rose Clark via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:20 of Round 3 at UFC on ABC 4 on Saturday in Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
It was a strong effort from Lisboa in her UFC debut in a bout in which she got increasingly better as the fight progressed. A noted stand-up specialist, Tainara displayed fast hands and excellent footwork. She mixed in a successful takedown, in addition to choking out Clark late in Round 3. At age 32, Lisboa is too old to be termed a "prospect," and she will undoubtedly face a stiffer test her next time out, but this was a nice start to her run with the company.

Lisboa will now be taking on a fighter in Clark who has suffered back-to-back submission losses.
