No-shows first fight in two years
Sobotta lost to Alex Oliveira via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.

Sobotta was out of sorts the second the opening bell rang and was never able to find his rhythm. He appeared confused and hesitant in terms of stringing together potential combinations, and his striking defense was mediocre at best. Oliveira can be tricky to fight at times, but he's never been known as a particularly strong defensive fighter. The fact Sobotta couldn't get anything going offensively in this one is a concern moving forward. Sobtta looked like a guy who hadn't fought in well over two years entering this bout. His career record with the UFC is 4-3, but Sobotta has fought just those seven times despite being with the company for more than six years now. He'll never rise up the rankings unless he is able to get into the Octagon a bit more often.

Sobotta withdrew Monday from his middleweight fight against Alessio Di Chirico at UFC Copenhagen on Sept. 28 due to an unspecified injury, Shawn Bitter of CagesidePress.com reports.

Making middleweight debut in Copenhagen
Sobotta (17-6-1) announced Monday via his personal Twitter account that he will face Alessio Di Chirico (12-3-0) in a middleweight bout at UFC Copenhagen on Sept. 28.
