Set to fight Magomedov
WelterweightUFC
December 14, 2024
Page will fight Shara Magomedov at UFC Saudi Arabia on Feb. 1, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Coming off a loss to Ian Garry, Page will now be tasked with taking down an undefeated opponent, though his six-inch reach advantage may help him hand Magomedov the first loss of his professional career.

Drops tight decision to Ian Garry
WelterweightUFC
June 29, 2024
Page lost to Ian Garry via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC 303 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was a tale of two fights. Page looked quite good when the two men were standing, landing the more damaging blows and appearing quite a bit faster than Garry. The time spent on the mat was another thing entirely. MVP failed to display basic awareness regarding how to defend certain positions, and it ended up costing him the fight. Garry didn't accomplish much in Round 3 when he had Page's back, but MVP never bothered to attempt to shake him off, and Garry just melted the clock away. Page, who is 37 years of age, has fought twice since debuting for the UFC in March. He took a unanimous decision from Kevin Holland and barely got clipped by Garry here. The early returns regarding MVP are strong despite the setback.
New fight scheduled
WelterweightUFC
May 24, 2024
Page is scheduled to fight Ian Garry at UFC 303 on June 29 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Page is set to fight against Garry in the welterweight division. Gary defeated Kevin Holland via unanimous decision in his UFC debut in March and will look to use his 5-inch reach advantage to break Garry's undefeated streak.
Impressive showing in UFC debut
WelterweightUFC
March 9, 2024
Page defeated Kevin Holland via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 299 on Saturday in Miami.
ANALYSIS
Those who felt Page made a name for himself in Bellator beating up on lower-level opponents got a wake-up call here. Yes, the UFC did Page a favor in booking his debut against Holland, a guy that can't really wrestle, but MVP still looked impressive. He used his trademark length, footwork and athleticism to hammer Holland on the feet. Page would land significant blows and immediately retreat before his opponent could return fire. He probably should have swept the judges scorecards. The 36-year-old Brit is still a major risk moving forward due to both his age and one-dimensional offensive arsenal, but he's a heck of a lot of fun to watch and proved on this night he can more than hang with quality competition.
UFC debut scheduled
WelterweightUFC
December 17, 2023
The UFC announced Sunday that Page is scheduled to face Kevin Holland in a welterweight fight at UFC 299 in Miami on March 9.
ANALYSIS
After becoming a free agent in July, Page took some time before signing with the UFC. With his first fight for the promotion, he is scheduled to compete against a ranked welterweight contender in Holland. After going 18-2 in Bellator, Page will look to prove how legitimate a fighter he is with competition against welterweights of the top MMA promotion.
Perfect record no more
WelterweightUFC
May 12, 2019
Page lost to Douglas Lima via KO (punches) at 0:35 of Round 2 at Bellator 221 on Saturday in Rosemont, Illinois.
ANALYSIS
Page has officially been dealt his first professional loss while being knocked out of contention for the welterweight title in the process. Lima was the more patient striker in this one, as he waited for Page's explosive shots and effectively counted. A superman punch attempt in the first round resulted in Lima finishing in top position, which likely cost Page the first round. In the second, Page landed one of his leaping punches that appeared to hurt Lima, but again looked for the finishing blows too soon. While lunging forward, Lima kicked out Page's legs, and finished him with a right hand while he was attempting to stand up. Page is an exciting fighter that will still get high-profile bouts, but his quest for a title will fall short after the tournament semifinal exit. That honor will instead be up for grabs between the winner of Lima and a June 14 matchup between Rory MacDonald and Neiman Gracie.
