Not competitive in Vegas
BantamweightUFC
February 19, 2022
Striegl lost to Chas Skelly via TKO (strikes) at 2:01 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Facing Skelly can make for a miserable night at the office due to his constant activity and pressure, and Striegl, in his second UFC bout, didn't have an answer to the riddle. He remained fairly competitive in the opening frame before everything fell apart in Round 2. Striegl ate a short elbow to the face which appeared to stun him, and one massive knee later, he was done. Striegl has now been knocked out in each of his first two UFC bouts after never being stopped via strikes in 20 professional fights prior to his arrival in the company in October 2020. He will find himself firmly in must-win territory his next time out.

Debut ends in brutality
BantamweightUFC
October 17, 2020
Striegl lost to Said Numagomedov via KO (punches) at 0:51 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
Striegl came into the organization as a pressure-striking wrestler but didn't get much of a chance to show off his skills, as he ate a clean left hook on the way in that put him off his senses. It was academic from there, as Nurmagomedov never let up, getting top position and finishing with vicious ground-and pound. Striegl's basic skill set could yield results in the UFC, but he's going to have to do something about his defense, which has presented problems for him in the past. He falls to 18-3 in professional MMA as a result of the loss.
