Victim of poor decision
Griffin lost to Luis Saldana via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC on ABC 2 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Griffin was visibly stunned when ring announcer Bruce Buffer announced the decision, and rightfully so. It's a crushing defeat for a guy who entered with a 1-3 record in his first four UFC bouts and may have very well been fighting for his job. The constant pressure of Griffin over the course of the first ten minutes should have been enough to get the job done. He landed a pair of successful takedowns in each of the first two rounds and scored 5:30 worth of control time through the first two frames. It wasn't enough according to the judges, but it should have been. Hopefully Griffin gets another shot with the company because he deserved a better fate in this one.

Booked for April fight

Fight officially off
Griffin will not fight Darrick Minner at UFC Las Vegas 2 on Saturday after Minner fell ill prior to weigh-ins, MMAFighting.com reports.

Griffin did his part in making weight for the event, but his opponent was unable to cut properly due to illness. Minner already expressed his desire to face Griffin when healthy, so it's possible the two could reconnect on a future card.
