Draws Gomis in Paris
Brito will take on William Gomis in a featherweight matchup at UFC Paris on September 28, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Brito has been on an absolute tear of late, winning five consecutive fights -- all via stoppage -- with two Performance of the Night bonuses along the way. He now runs into an undefeated fighter in Gomis, who will hold slight height and reach advantages when the cage doors close. Brito's strength is his wrestling, averaging more than three takedowns per fight, while Gomis defends the takedown at an 81 percent clip.

Fifth straight stoppage win
Brito defeated Jack Shore via TKO (doctor stoppage) at 3:35 of Round 2 at UFC 301 on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
ANALYSIS
One of the hottest fighters in the sport today, Brito's stellar run continues. Seemingly built of granite and putting everything he has in every single strike he throws, Joanderson obliterated Shore with leg kicks. He landed just eight strikes to the head and body, but 22 to the legs. Shore's lower half was a bloody mess when all was said and done, and the damage so significant that the doctor had to stop the fight. Jack is no pushover, but we've reached the point in which Brito -- who has won five in a row, all via stoppage -- is due for a significant bump up in competition his next time out. This guy is terrifying.

Next fight booked
Brito will face off against Jack Shore at UFC 301 on May 4, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Brito, who recently claimed his fourth-consecutive victory with a win over Jonathan Pearce in November, will match up against Jack Shore next. The 28-year-old Brazilian fighter, who is now 4-1 during his time with the UFC, will look to keep his winning streak alive against Shore.

Runs winning streak to four
Brito defeated Jonathan Pearce via submission (Ninja Choke) at 3:54 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Brito had nothing going prior to the finish. He was fine in the early moments of the fight but appeared to be clearly tiring throughout the course of Round 2. He somehow managed to work his way back to his feet late in the frame, at which point Pearce ducked under and left his neck exposed. Brito grabbed it and twisted to the mat, with Pearce tapping out almost immediately. It was beautifully done from the Brazilian. The 28-year-old Brito has won four straight on the heels of a unanimous decision defeat to Bill Algeo in his UFC debut back in January 2022. He'll also take home a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his efforts here.

Draws Pearce in November
Brito will take on Jonathan Pearce in a featherweight matchup at UFC Vegas 82 on November 18, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Brito has been all business since losing his UFC debut in January of 2022, as he's since picked up three consecutive first-round finishes. It was clearly time for a step up in competition, and the UFC gave him just that, as Pearce is currently riding a five fight winning streak (although he has yet to fight in 2023). Brito is four inches shorter, but has a one-inch reach advantage. He'll look to employ his wrestling skill to exploit the 59 percent takedown defense of Pearce, though Pearce is no slouch on the mat by any means, as he averages 5.74 takedowns of his own per 15 minutes. Fight fans should be in for a close bout at the UFC Apex.
