Crute will fight Alonzo Menifield in a light heavyweight bout at UFC 290 in Paradise on July 8, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Crute didn't show up for this fight hoping for a draw, heck, he entered as a -175 favorite, but considering all that happened in the bout, he should consider himself fortunate that was the end result. Jimmy started on fire, landing 4-of-5 takedowns in Round 1 alone. Yet, it was Menifield's power that was the fight's greatest difference-maker. He knocked Crute down once in each of the first two rounds. Jimmy was seemingly out on his feet on more than one occasion, but somehow survived.
