Earns second win in two weeks
Silva defeated Drew Dober via TKO (doctor stoppage) at 1:28 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Denver.
ANALYSIS
Make that two victories for Silva in the span of two weeks, in two different weight classes. He took out Charles Jourdain at featherweight in Las Vegas and got Dober here at lightweight in Denver. Silva is way undersized for 155 pounds, but he has legitimate power in his hands, and although he gets hit a bunch at times, he seems to roll with the punches and handle the damage well. He won this fight because he landed the far more damaging blows, opening up a gaping gash over Dober's right eye which eventually led to the doctor stopping the bout. On top of the victory, he'll walk away with an extra $50,000 after this back-and-forth affair was awarded Fight of the Night honors. Silva now has three knockout victories on his ledger since officially joining the UFC roster this past January.

Finds new opponent
Silva is set to fight in a lightweight matchup against Drew Dober at UFC Denver on July 13, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Silva is off to a hot start in the UFC with a 2-0 record after knocking out Charles Jourdain in Round 2 at UFC 303 in Las Vegas, making it his second knockout victory. He will face Drew Dober, who had a last minute opponent change after Mike Davis suffered a biceps injury. Dober is looking to get his first victory of 2024 after suffering a loss against Renato Moicano back in February.

Shines following weight miss
Silva defeated Charles Jourdain via KO (punch) at 1:22 of Round 2 at UFC 303 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Silva likely would have been in the running for a post-fight bonus given how great he looked. As is, he's not eligible because he missed weight by 1.5 pounds Friday morning. Facing an opponent on Jourdain known for his toughness and durability, Silva simply overwhelmed the Canadian. He landed countless damaging power shots, including two knockdowns. Now 2-0 in the UFC with a pair of knockout wins, Silva has a boatload of potential if he gets the weight-cutting issues under control. For what it's worth, he said in his post-fight interview that he was right on schedule Friday before falling down a set of stairs and being unable to cut any more. Seriously.

Misses weight against Jourdain
Silva will forfeit 20 percent of his purse after weighing in at 147.5 pounds for his fight against Charles Jourdain on Saturday, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite missing weight for Saturday's bout, Silva is set to compete for the first time since defeating Westin Wilson via TKO on Jan. 13. Silva will look to extend his undefeated streak to three against Jourdain.

Scheduled against Jourdain
Silva is scheduled to compete against Charles Jourdain in a featherweight fight at UFC 303 in Las Vegas on June 29, per Aaron Bronsteter of Sportsnet.
ANALYSIS
Jourdain will look to continue from where he left off. The 27-year-old was scheduled to fight at UFC 301, but his expected opponent (William Gomis) suffered from a brutal weight cut that resulted in their fight getting canceled. Jourdain began his 2024 with a first-round TKO to Westin Wilson.
