First win since May 2015
HeavyweightUFC
April 10, 2021
Danho defeated Yorgan de Castro via KO (punch) at 3:02 of Round 1 at UFC on ABC 2 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was Danho's first fight since September 2016 and his first victory since May 2015. The big man was an understandable hefty underdog (+250) given how much time he had missed, but all it took was one sweeping right hand to the side of de Castro's head in order for Danho to secure a shocking victory. That's all it takes when you have two men of this size in the Octagon. There's an overwhelming likelihood this will go down as the highlight of Danho's UFC run, and there's nothing wrong with that. He has ensured himself another bout with the company, though it surprisingly wasn't enough to earn a post-fight bonus.

Agrees to first fight since 2016
HeavyweightUFC
January 16, 2021
Danho will fight Yorgan de Castro at UFC Fight Night 190 on April 10, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Danho has not fought since his 2016 draw with Christian Colombo. He'll face an opponent in De Castro who is coming off a poor performance against Carlos Felipe last October. With Danho not having fought in about half a decade, it's unclear what he'll bring to the table for his fight with De Castro in April.
Set for UFC 251
HeavyweightUFC
March 6, 2020
Danho will take on Tai Tuivasa in a heavyweight match at UFC 251 in Australia on June 6, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Danho most recently backed out of a UFC Singapore match against Greg Hardy due to an undisclosed injury, a fight which was scheduled to be his first action since going on a three-year sabbatical. Instead, he'll look to make his comeback against Tuivasa, who is coming off a three-match losing streak.
No longer facing Hardy
HeavyweightUFC
October 16, 2019
Danho will no longer face Greg Hardy in Singapore after withdrawing due to an undisclosed injury, Brett Okamoto of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
It's a massive missed opportunity for Danho, who was scheduled to come back from a three-year layoff and face an opponent with loads of name recognition. Instead, he'll be on the shelf for the foreseeable future, and it's unclear when his next opportunity might come.
Gets first fight in three years
HeavyweightUFC
September 4, 2019
Danho will take on Greg Hardy in a heavyweight bout at UFC Singapore on October 26, Alexander K. Lee of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This will be Danho's first trip inside the octagon since September of 2016, where he fought Christian Colombo to a draw at UFC Fight Night 93 after falling in his UFC debut to Daniel Omielanczuk in February of that year. He was scheduled to fight again at UFC 211 in May of 2017 but was forced to withdraw due to injury. Now, he'll be going up against Hardy, who has found his stride under the promotion and has won his last two fights.
Jarjis Danho: Can't continue, drops technical decision Saturday
HeavyweightUFC
February 27, 2016
Danho lost to Daniel Omielanczuk via technical decision (28-29, 28-29, 29-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in London.
ANALYSIS
It was one of the stranger fights that you'll ever come across. The first round was close, but Danho clearly dropped Round 2. In Round 3 Dano was hit with an accidental low blow and although it didn't seem to be all that hard of a shot, he informed referee Leon Roberts that he could not continue and as a result they went to the judge's scorecards. And although the fight was entertaining, neither man appeared to have much clue as to what they planned on doing inside the octagon. The bottom line is that the right decision was made. Danho deserved to come up short in his company debut.
