Easy win in home country
FeatherweightUFC
August 17, 2024
Jenkins defeated Herbert Burns via TKO (strikes) at 0:48 of Round 3 at UFC 305 on Saturday in Perth, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Jenkins deserves credit for doing exactly what he was supposed to do here as a huge favorite. He floored the gas pedal and easily overwhelmed an inferior opponent. Outside of one stretch in which he got caught on the mat and allowed Burns to attempt a pair of submissions, Jenkins kept this fight standing and strung together combinations. Herbert attempted to remain on the ground on multiple occasions, but Jack forced referee Marc Goddard to stand him back up. The final time, Burns either couldn't or would't get back to his feet. Jenkins has quietly won three of his first four UFC bouts, in addition to picking up a win on Dana White's Contender Series.

July 26, 2024
Jenkins is scheduled to compete against fellow featherweight Herbert Burns at UFC 305 in Perth, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Jenkins was expected to fight Gavin Tucker, but he has withdrawn from UFC 305. Thus, the UFC announced Burns as Jenkins' new opponent. Jenkins may not have won in over a year, but Burns has been winless with three consecutive losses via TKO since 2020.
First fight for 2024 scheduled
FeatherweightUFC
June 30, 2024
Jenkins will fight Gavin Tucker at UFC 305 on August 17, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Jenkins will get his first fight of 2024 after most recently fighting in September of 2023, where he dislocated his elbow. The Australian featherweight takes on Tucker, who has fought just once since 2021, and not won in the octagon since 2020.
Injury specified

September 11, 2023
Jenkins dislocated his right elbow while fighting Jose Mariscal at UFC 293, Farah Hannoun of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jenkins will need to undergo an MRI on his right elbow. Though there appear to be no fractures or severe ligament damage, it seems highly unlikely he will heal in time to fight again during 2023. In that case, Jenkins would finish this year with a 2-1 record.
Arm injury leads to defeat
FeatherweightUFC
September 9, 2023
Jenkins lost to Jose Mariscal via verbal submission (arm injury) at 3:19 of Round 2 at UFC 293 on Saturday in Sydney, Australia.
ANALYSIS
That's a crushing way to suffer your first UFC defeat. Fresh off a split decision win over Jamall Emmers in late-June, Jenkins found himself in a close, competitive fight here against Mariscal. He almost certainly won Round 1 and was well on his way to losing Round 2, at which point Mariscal spun him to the mat. Jenkins attempted to post and injured his arm in the process. He clearly had no chance of continuing. It is Jack's first loss since March 2018, a span of nine fights.
Next fight immediately scheduled
FeatherweightUFC
July 13, 2023
Jenkins will fight Jose Mariscal at UFC 293 in Sydney on Sept. 10, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Less than a month after defeating Jamall Emmers at UFC on ABC 5, Jenkins has scheduled his third fight of 2023. Like the first, he will fight in his native Australia. Jenkins defeated Don Shainis the first time he fought in Australia this year.
