Still searching for first UFC win
MiddleweightUFC
October 30, 2021
Hu lost to Andre Petroski via submission (arm-triangle choke) at 4:46 of Round 3 at UFC 267 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
This one was a rout from the very start. Hu nearly managed to see the final bell, but even if he had, it would have resulted in a lopsided unanimous decision defeat. Hu had all sorts of difficulty with the explosive all-around game of Petroski. He allowed four successful takedowns and upwards of a half dozen submission attempts before the arm-triangle that ended the fight. Hu joined the UFC in November 2017 with a perfect 3-0 record, but has dropped all three of his fights since, including two via submission. The odds are strongly against Hu receiving a fourth opportunity with the company.

New opponent at UFC 267
MiddleweightUFC
October 18, 2021
Yaozong will now take on Andre Petroski in a presumed middleweight matchup at UFC 267 on Oct. 30, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Yaozong was originally supposed to face Alen Amedovski, but this will be the second time that fight will be cancelled due to vague reasons. He'll be moving down to middleweight after initially making his UFC debut at heavyweight back in 2017, when he ultimately was dealt two losses in as many years. He'll hold a three-inch height advantage over his new opponent, but will be giving up an inch in reach. It's tough to predict what we'll see from the 26-year-old Chinese prospect, who has just five professional fights on his record.

Yaozong will fight Alen Amedovski at UFC 267 on Oct. 30, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Yaozong was initially scheduled to fight Amedovski in July, but COVID-19 complications in the latter's camp caused the fight to be cancelled. It's now back on for October as both contestants remain in search of their first UFC win.
Not fighting in UFC 264

July 10, 2021
The fight between Hu and Alen Amedovski this Saturday has been canceled due to COVID-19-related reasons, according to Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
There are no further details regarding why the fight has been canceled except for the fact that the COVID-19 complications came from Amedovski's camp. As such, UFC 264 on Saturday will go on but with only 12 fights instead of the 13 that were originally scheduled.
Returning in July
MiddleweightUFC
May 21, 2021
Yaozong (3-2-0) will be fighting Alen Amedovski (8-2-0) at UFC 264 on July 10, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Yaozong hasn't fought since November of 2018 after he lost to Rashad Coulter via unanimous decision. The 26-year-old has dropped both of his UFC bouts since debuting in 2017 as both he and his opponent are in search of their first wins in the promotion. Yaozong will have a five-inch advantage in height over Amedovski but is two inches shorter in his reach. Amedovski has won all eight of his fights via knockout and Yaozong will make sure to do everything he can to not be another victim.
Suspended for 10 months
MiddleweightUFC
June 14, 2019
Yaozong has been suspended by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for 10 months for a positive test of a banned substance, Marc Raimondi of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The substance came from a dietary supplement, but it was reportedly listed on the label. As a result, Yaozong will be forced to serve the suspension, retroactive to March 9, meaning he will have to wait until December, at the earliest, to return to the Octagon.
