Strong run continues
Rodrigues defeated Christian Leroy Duncan via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC 304 on Saturday in Manchester, England.
ANALYSIS
This was a complete effort from Rodrigues, as he dominated Duncan in all aspects of this fight. The Brazilian landed four takedowns, good for a whopping 8:20 worth of control time. Rodrigues also landed the far more damaging blows, to the point that Duncan was forced to try to grapple himself because he was worried about the power coming back his way. It's rarely pretty, but Rodrigues is 5-1 in his past six fights dating back to June 2022. He's due a pretty significant jump up in competition his next time out.

Improves to 4-1 in past five fights
Rodrigues defeated Brad Tavares via TKO (punches) at 0:55 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This set up as a perfect matchup for Rodrigues on paper and played out that way inside the Octagon. Gregory is primarily a brawler with a highly-questionable chin, but he was facing an opponent in Tavares without a knockout in nearly six years. That meant Rodrigues could continue to push the pace without fear of what was coming back his way. The Brazilian mixed in a pair of takedown attempts before destroying Tavares with repeated, unanswered shots early in Round 3. He absolutely looked the part of a -250 favorite. Rodrigues is going to have his struggles at time due to his durability issues, but he's also capable of dominant performances such as this one. The soon-to-be 32-year-old improves to 4-1 in his past five fights.

Finishes Tiuliulin in Round 1
Rodrigues defeated Denis Tiuliulin via KO (elbows) at 1:43 of Round 1 at UFC 292 on Saturday in Boston.
ANALYSIS
Seemingly entering with a more patient approach following his January knockout at the hands of Brunno Ferreira, Rodrigues still didn't take too long to execute his game plan here. He was able to take down Tiuliulin and take his back before landing several unanswered elbows that put his opponent out cold. The first elbow Rodrigues landed could easily have been interpreted as landing on the back of the head, but referee Bryan Miner didn't see it that way. Either way, Tiuliulin was put in a terrible position by Rodrigues, and the outcome seemed to be all but sealed. Rodrigues improves to 3-1 in his last four fights and 14-5 overall with the victory.
