Reveals toe injury
McGregor withdrew from UFC 303 because of a toe injury, according to MMA reporter Ariel Helwani.

McGregor recently posted on Instagram the reason why he withdrew from UFC 303, citing a broken toe on the same left foot that he injured back at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. He reportedly only "needs a few weeks" to recover, suggesting a potential fight from him down the line is still on the table. The question is when, and if said bout will be scheduled against Michael Chandler again or someone else.

Helwani also confirmed on his weekly show that the press conference wasn't cancelled due to a drug/alcohol issue or drug testing violation, so at least one option can seemingly be ruled out. It will be a story certainly worth continuing to monitor with the event just over three weeks away.
