Finished in UFC debut
Smith lost to Parker Porter via TKO (punches) at 2:10 of Round 1 at UFC 288 on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey.
ANALYSIS
Smith was by no means overwhelmed in his UFC debut, but he didn't manage his energy particularly well, and Porter eventually just waited him out. Braxton ate a knee from Porter which dropped him to the mat, and Smith was simply too exhausted to intelligently defend himself from there, forcing referee Gary Copeland to step in. Already 33 years of age with just seven professional fights under his belt, Smith's upside is extremely limited.

Making UFC debut against Porter
Smith will make his UFC debut against Parker Porter in a heavyweight bout at a UFC event on May 6 in Newark, New Jersey, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Smith is slated to make his UFC debut while boasting a 5-1-0 pro MMA record. He's ripped off five straight wins, his last coming via KO in the first round against Jakori Savage. That fight was in March, so it'll be somewhat of a quick turnaround for Smith. His opponent, Parker Porter, will look to avoid dropping three fights in a row.
