Misses weight
Correia missed her weight limit by 2.5 pounds, ahead of her Oct. 2 fight against Karol Rosa.
ANALYSIS
Correia has missed weight in what was expected to be her last fight before retirement. Correia has not fought since July of 2020 where she lost to Pannie Kianzad via unanimous decision. This missed weight shouldn't have a big impact on the fight, but Correira could lose some of her winnings if she is able to come away with the victory.

Oct. 2 bout booked
Correia will take on Karol Rosa in a bantamweight bout at the UFC event on October 2, Raphael Marinho of Combate.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Correia had to withdraw from her last bout against Wu Yanan back in January due to an appendix surgery. She will take on Rosa, who also had to withdraw from her last bout. Correia has not fought since last July against Pannie Kianzad.

Pulls out of Wu matchup
Correia withdrew from her scheduled match against Wu Yanan on Tuesday after undergoing surgery to remove her appendix, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Correia presumably won't require a particularly lengthy absence, but she won't be in fighting shape in less than two weeks for a matchup which was scheduled to take place on Jan. 16. It's unclear whether or not there will be time to find a new opponent for Wu to face on that same card.

Headed to Fight Island
Correia revealed via her personal Instagram account that her scheduled matchup against Wu Yanan has been moved to Jan. 16 on Fight Island.
ANALYSIS
At one point released by the UFC, the plan all along for Correia was to return for one final retirement bout. She'll do so against a fighter in Yanan, who although previously competed at flyweight, will own three-inch height and two-inch reach advantages. Correia finds herself as a slight underdog (+100) for this matchup as of early-January.

Returning for final fight
Correia will take on Wu Yanan at a UFC event scheduled for Dec. 5, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Correia was released by the UFC in August, but she'll return for what should be her final professional fight, according to her personal Instagram page. She's gone 2-5-1 over her past eight fights dating back to August of 2015, most recently losing to Pannie Kianzad via unanimous decision in July. Yanan last fought in August of 2019, when she lost to Mizuki Inoue via split decision. Yanan has the edge in both height and reach.
