Loosa lost to Gabriel Bonfim via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Denver.
ANALYSIS
Loosa was competitive for about a round before it all fell apart. He landed three takedowns in the opening frame, but picked up just 2:07 worth of control time and did very little with his positional advantage. Ange predictably tired as the fight progressed, allowing Bonfim to remain upright and pick him apart on the feet. Loosa is a big, muscular guy, but he has displayed shockingly little stopping power in his hands over the past several years. His last knockout win came in October 2016 and eight of his last nine fights have gone the distance. The one that didn't was a no-contest. You simply aren't going to consistently win at this level by trying to earn decisions. Loosa drops to 2-2 (1NC) in his first five UFC bouts.

Loosa will fight Gabriel Bonfim at UFC Denver on Jul. 13, Dana White announced.
ANALYSIS
Loosa is coming off a No Contest result after getting poked in the eye by Bryan Battle back in March. He'll look to improve his record to 3-1 in the UFC, taking on Bonfim who is fresh off his first UFC loss.
Can't continue in no contest
WelterweightUFC
March 16, 2024
Loosa and Bryan Battle fought to a no contest (accidental eye poke) at 1:00 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's certainly not the worst result in the world for Loosa, who had absolutely nothing going at the time of the foul and appeared to be well on his way to defeat, either via stoppage or decision. It was absolutely a legitimate infraction, and Loosa quickly told the doctor he couldn't see, something that will put a halt to the action every single time. Loosa and Battle got in a heated war of words after the decision was announced, so perhaps the UFC will look to settle this rivalry once and for all at some point in the near future.

Loosa is scheduled against Bryan Battle in a welterweight fight at UFC Vegas 87 on March 16, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Loosa will look to establish a three-fight win streak by defeating Battle, who is also on a two-fight win streak. Battle last defeated Fletcher, who Loosa defeated to begin his own streak. The second of Loosa's two fights was against Rhys McKee, whom the former defeated via unanimous decision.
Picks up second straight win

Loosa defeated Rhys McKee via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.
ANALYSIS
It was another strong performance from Loosa, this time as a -145 favorite. He easily outclassed the returning McKee over the course of the first ten minutes, particularly in Round 2 in which Ange connected on all three takedown attempts, good for 2:44 worth of control time and a whopping 66-17 edge in total strikes landed. McKee managed to make some minor headway in the final frame, but the fight had already long since been decided. Loosa improves to 2-1 in his brief UFC run.

July 14, 2023
Loosa will face Rhys McKee in a welterweight bout at a UFC event on Sept. 2 in Paris, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
Loosa holds a record of 1-1 since signing with the UFC. His most recent fight was a victory over AJ Fletcher via unanimous decision in August of 2022. Now, he'll look to claim a winning record in the UFC against McKee, who is still searching for his first victory with the promotion.
