Falls to 1-4 in UFC after quick loss Saturday
Chambers lost to Livia Renata Souza via submission (guillotine choke) at 1:21 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
ANALYSIS
As has been the case time and time again throughout the course of her five-fight (1-4) UFC run, Chambers showed she doesn't have the requisite skills to compete in the greatest fighting organization in the sport. Set to turn 40 years old next month and with just one win in the last five and a half years, Chambers will almost certainly be handed her walking papers in the near future.

To make return in Sao Paulo
Chambers will take on Livia Renata Souza in a strawweight battle at UFC Sao Paulo on Sept. 22, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Chambers last competed in November of 2017, when she dropped a unanimous decision to Nadia Kasseem at UFC Fight Night 121. Now 39 years old, the Australia native will look to get back on the winning track, but has a tall task ahead of her. Though she trains at one of the nation's best camps in American Top Team, she'll be heading into enemy territory to face a Sao Paulo native that is more than 12 years younger. Souza is a former Invicta FC strawweight champion that owns a professional record of 11-1.

Alex Chambers: Looks Terrible In Lost To Paige VanZant
Chambers lost to Paige VanZant via submission (armbar) at 1:01 of Round 3 at UFC 191 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Chambers did the best she could, but she was hopelessly outclassed here. She deserves credit for lasting as long as she did. Chambers landed a punch or two in the clinch, but that was about it. She is nothing but roster depth at age-36.

Alex Chambers: Will Face Paige VanZant In September
Chambers will face Paige VanZant at UFC 191 on September 5 in Las Vegas, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Chambers is coming off a miraculous win over Kailin Curran in a bout in which she was was clearly losing before pulling out a late submission. Chambers doesn't have much future potential, so this fight has the feel of a bout that was made just to help raise VanZant's profile even more. Chambers is going to be a big underdog when the Vegas odds are released.

Alex Chambers: Steals One On Saturday Night
Chambers defeated Kailin Curran via submission (armbar) at 3:15 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Adelaide, Australia.
ANALYSIS
A shocking win for Chambers in a fight in which she was getting dominated. Chambers' cardio betrayed her after the first few minutes and she spent the majority of the fight up against the fence eating big shots from Curran. Luckily for her, she was able to put out the armbar late after failing on a couple other submission attempts earlier in the fight. Despite the win, other than the finish, it wasn't a very inspiring performance from Chambers.
