SLATE PREVIEW
Four of the five games Wednesday will start at 7:30 p.m. EST, and the matchup between Los Angeles and Arizona will round out the night at 10 p.m. EST. The Kings are intriguing in DFS tournaments because they're on a hot streak and have a favorable matchup against the helpless Coyotes. We'll be focusing on the Kings for value in this article.

GOALIES
Jonathan Quick LA at ARI ($8,200): Quick should get the starting nod Wednesday, but Cal Petersen ($8,200) should be a fine option if he gets the start. In his best season since the 2017-18 campaign, Quick has accrued a .911 save percentage and a 13-10-6 record through 29 appearances. He draws the Coyotes – who rank 31st over the last month with 2.09 xGF/60 at even strength – on Wednesday.
Jake Oettinger, DAL vs. WPG ($7,900): Oettinger just turned 23 years old in December but has been rock solid ever since he started playing in the show. He has registered a .916 save percentage and a 2.35 GAA through 52 career NHL appearances. The Jets are not as daunting as they appear; they rank 22nd since the beginning of February with 2.35 xGF/60 at even strength.
Samuel Montembeault, MON vs. BUF ($6,800): Since the Canadiens fired head coach Dominique Ducharme, Montembeault has gone 2-2-0 with a .925 save percentage and a 2.43 GAA through five appearances. There are few matchups that are better than facing the Sabres, who have lost six of their last eight games.
VALUE PLAYS/ONE-OFFS
Ondrej Kase, TB vs. EDM ($5,800): Palat has reached 15 goals for a third straight season, and he's skating on the first line with the likes of Brayden Point ($8,200) and Nikita Kucherov ($9,700). It can be tough to fit the full trio under the DFS salary cap, but Palat comes at a reasonable salary against Edmonton's netminder Mike Smith, who has posted a 3.61 GAA this campaign.
Phillip Danault, LA at ARI (C - $5,500): Danault has compiled 10 goals and four assists through 18 games since the calendar flipped to 2022. He handles time on the second line and quarterbacks PP2. He'll take aim at Coyotes goaltender Karel Vejmelka, who has an .883 save percentage and a 4.19 GAA t home this year.
Robby Fabbri, DET vs. COL (W - $5,400): Fabbri has stacked up 11 points through the last 13 games, and he handles work on the top power-play unit. The Avalanche rank 10th in the league with 478 PIM, and their PK (77.2 percent) ranks 21st.
Cole Caufield, MON vs. BUF (W - $4,700): Caufield has also benefitted greatly from the coaching change, as he has posted five goals and three assist across six games since the transition. The 21-year-old averaged 17:02 in that stretch, too. With the Sabres, who rank 31st in February with 2.9 xGA/60 at even strength, coming to town, Caufield's ceiling is high.
LINE STACKS
Stars vs. Jets
Roope Hintz (C - $7,100), Jason Robertson (W - $8,500), Joe Pavelski (W - $8,000)
The two young guns have meshed extremely well with Pavelski, a 37-year-old veteran. Both Robertson and Pavelski are operating above a point-per-game pace, and Hintz isn't far behind with 22 goals and 42 points through 47 games. The Jets lose a step on the road, and Connor Hellebuyck hasn't been immune. His 2.92 road GAA is underwhelming, to say the least.
Avalanche at Red Wings
Nazem Kadri (C - $9,200), Valeri Nichushkin (W - $6,200), Andre Burakovsky (W - $5,600)
Kadri leads the Avalanche and ranks fifth in the league with 63 points through 47 games, and he's flanked by two productive wingers. Nichushkin has recorded 0.76 points per game and Burakovsky has posted 0.75 points per game. The Red Wings' defense is merely mediocre, and Red Wings' netminder Alex Nedeljkovic has a 3.03 GAA at home this season.
Kings at Coyotes
Anze Kopitar (C - $6,800), Alex Iafallo (W - $5,900), Adrian Kempe (W - $5,500)
Kopitar has notched a point in 13 of the last 15 games, totaling 18 points and 43 shots on net in the process. Kempe also contributed 10 goals and four helpers in that stretch while Iafallo added eight points. They've enjoyed steady success on the power play, too, and the matchup against Arizona's 31st-ranked PK (72.9 percent) is appealing for this line's ceiling.
DEFENSEMEN
Drew Doughty, LA at ARI ($6,900): Doughty rounds out my Kings stack for the evening, as he's on a hot streak like the aforementioned skaters. The 32-year-old has put up 15 points – six with the man advantage – through the last 18 games, adding 56 shots on net and 27 blocked shots.
Moritz Seider, DET vs. COL ($6,400): Seider probably won't be a highly rostered player in DFS tournaments because of the matchup against Colorado, but this matchup is actually intriguing. The Avalanche rank 21st in the league with a 77.2 penalty-kill percentage. Seider has posted 11 points over the past 12 games, including five points with the man advantage.
Mikhail Sergachev, TB vs. EDM ($5,200): Sergachev has averaged more than 24 minutes of ice time over the past 15 games, and he quarterbacks the second power-play unit. In that span, he accrued 10 points and 33 shots on net. While he hasn't had much luck on the power play recently, Sergachev has an appealing opportunity against the Oilers' 22nd-ranked PK (77.1 percent).
Jeff Petry, MON vs. BUF ($4,800): The defenseman who racked up 42 points – 15 with the man advantage – through 55 games last season didn't suddenly disappear this offseason. Petry has looked great over the last four games with two goals, three assists, nine shots on net and 10 blocked shots. His ceiling is high against the Sabres' 23rd-ranked PK (76.8 percent).
