2024 Fantasy Outlook
Lutz followed Sean Payton to Denver last season after a six-year stint kicking for the Saints, moving from a friendly dome to the favorable thin air in Denver. Lutz made 30 of 34 field-goal attempts (88.2 percent) and 29 of 31 PATs (93.5 percent), boosting his career rates to 85.2 percent and 97.2 percent, respectively. He then re-signed on a two-year contract this offseason, but his reliable work doesn't seem especially promising for fantasy in light of Denver's shaky QB situation and overall lack of talent. Lutz does at least have job security, plus the favorable locale for long-distance tries. Read Past Outlooks
Potential game-winner blocked
Lutz did not convert on either of his two field-goal tries but made both of his two extra-point attempts during Sunday's 16-14 loss at Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
In a game decided by just two points, Lutz converting on just one of his field-goal attempts could have made the difference. It's hard to pin too much blame on him though, as his 60-yard try at the end of the half came up just short, and what would have been a game-winning 35-yarder as time expired was blocked by Leo Chenal. He'll be looking to bounce back in Week 11 versus the Falcons.

One of the better fantasy options during the latter years of the Drew Brees era, Lutz has since fallen down the ranks for good reason, missing 2021 due to injury and then converting only 23 of 31 FGAs (74.2 percent) in 2022. He's now entering the final year of his contract, and the Saints traded him to the Broncos in late August to reunite Lutz with coach Sean Payton.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Might return to Denver
Lutz and the Broncos have mutual interest in a new contract, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran kicker won't get the franchise tag from the team, but a multi-year deal could be in the works. Lutz thrived at altitude in Denver last year after spending the first six seasons of his career kicking indoors in New Orleans, and his 88.2 percent conversion rate on field goal attempts in 2023 was his highest mark since 2019.
