Tebow, who signed a one-year, minimal commitment contract with Philadelphia in April, did not stick with the Eagles, even after the team traded Matt Barkley to the Cardinals in advance of final roster cuts.

Mark Sanchez might not be a good starting quarterback in the NFL, but at least he can stand in the pocket and occasionally deliver an accurate and well-timed ball. Tebow is more of a gimmick player, able to run and create on broken plays, but is unlikely ever to be a reliable every-down quarterback. Although credit is due for his ability to post 18 touchdowns (six rushing) versus 12 turnovers (six each of interceptions and fumbles), a quarterback cannot survive on a 46.5 completion percentage. Tebow should see some work in a variety of roles, though, including wildcat quarterback, running back and tight end. That should be enough to make him worth owning in two-quarterback leagues or ones where he gains eligibility at another position.

Anything is possible, but after failing to trade Kyle Orton this offseason, Tebow will be competing for the backup job after thinking the starting one was his with the Orton trade rumors. Tebow was an almost mythical figure well before he was anywhere near the NFL, and his impressive run as a three-game starter last year only fanned the flames of Tebow-mania. His windup, throwing motion and passing abilities in general remain concerns, but his bruising running ability is a constant that gives him high upside as a fantasy quarterback – he scored a rushing touchdown in each of his 2010 starts. With a talented and deep group of wideouts led by Brandon Lloyd, there’ll be no shortage of targets in Denver, although they will be for Orton and not Tebow. Brady Quinn remains in a battle with Tebow for the backup role, but it's hard to see Tebow as anything but the future starter in Denver.

Tebow is expected to be the third quarterback his rookie season in Denver. However, the coaching staff will definitely find creative ways to get his unique set of skills on the field.
