30-Year-Old Defensive TackleDT
Pittsburgh Steelers
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Ogunjobi spent his second season in Pittsburgh in 2023 and remained consistent, totaling 43 tackles (21 solo), including three sacks, along with a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and two pass defenses. Availability hasn't been a concern for the 2017 third-rounder throughout his career, as he's played at least 14 games in each of his seven professional seasons. He should retain a starting role on the Steelers' defensive line in 2024. Read Past Outlooks

Ogunjobi was forced to settle for a one-year deal with the Steelers last season but did enough to earn a three-year, $21.75 million contract ahead of the 2023 campaign. During his first season in Pittsburgh, his sack count was down after he racked up a career-high seven sacks during his lone season with the Bengals in 2021, but his tackles remained consistent, and he finished with 48 tackles (25 solo) and 1.5 sacks. He should maintain a starting role on the Steelers' defensive line this year.
The NFL can be cruel sometimes. Ogunjobi should have been in line for a big payday in free agency this offseason, but his three-year, $40.5 million deal with the Bears fell through due to a foot injury suffered in the wild-card round of the playoffs. He had one of his most productive seasons with the Bengals in 2021, tallying 49 tackles and a career-high seven sacks. Ogunjobi eventually settled for a one-year, $8 million prove-it deal with the Steelers with the aim to get that big payday.
Ogunjobi recorded 5.5 sacks for the second consecutive season and will return as a starting defensive tackle. He had a quick start to the season, but his production dropped off in the second half when both defensive ends, Myles Garrett and Olivier Vernon, were unavailable. The Browns added free agent DT Andrew Billings, who started 30 games over the past two seasons in Cincinnati and could pushed Ogunjobi, but he opted out of playing in 2020. That means Ogunjobi should hold onto his starting job, although the Browns selected Jordan Elliott out of Missouri in the third round.
The former 2017 third-round pick broke out in 2018, registering a career-high 5.5 sacks and 52 tackles. Even more success could be on the horizon for Ogunjobi. With the talents of Myles Garrett, Olivier Vernon and Sheldon Richardson joining him on the defensive line, he should have no trouble making plays in the backfield while opposing offenses focus on his teammates.
Ogunjobi will likely back up Jamie Meder when the season kicks off, but the Browns love his potential and want him to win the starting job, meaning the 24-year-old should still see plenty of run regardless of his spot on the depth chart.

Primed to bounce back in 2023
DTPittsburgh Steelers
July 12, 2023
Fellow defensive linemen DeMarvin Leal and Cameron Heyward expect Ogunjobi to rebound in 2023 after posting only 1.5 sacks in his first year with Pittsburgh, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Ogunjobi had seven sacks with the Bengals in 2021, and Heyward believes Ogunjobi's drop in production last season can be attributed to the foot injury that bothered him throughout the 2022 offseason. Ogunjobi claims he's in the best shape of his life heading into 2023, and that assertion is supported by Leal, who says Ogunjobi has undergone a "transformation."
