2024 Fantasy Outlook
Ingram spent his rookie season in 2022 and most of last year with the Cardinals before the team cut him loose in late November. Ingram then latched on with the Chiefs' practice squad and inked a reserve/future contract with the club in mid-February to stick around in K.C. Ingram hasn't proved particularly productive as a back when given the opportunity, averaging just 2.2 and 2.1 yards per tote in his first two campaigns, and he'll enter training camp in a battle with numerous other backs vying for a 53-man roster spot behind Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Back to practice squad
The Chiefs re-signed Ingram to the practice squad Thursday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram was waived by Kansas City on Tuesday to make room for veteran running back Kareem Hunt on the 53-man roster. After having just played five snaps on special teams during the Chiefs' win over the Falcons in Week 3 despite Isiah Pacheco (fibula) being on injured reserve, Ingram will now resume handling an emergency depth role for the team.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
Ingram was an enigma during a four-year career that went through Texas and USC, flashing upside at both schools but also failing to fully meet expectations. He fell to the sixth round of the 2022 draft with the understanding that he was a "low floor, high ceiling" prospect. He followed with an inconclusive but uninspiring rookie season, so it's still difficult to tell where he might land in his range of outcomes. What's certain is that he's an above-average athlete (4.53 40, 122-inch broad jump at 221 pounds), and he outplayed 2023 fourth-round pick Roschon Johnson when the two were at Texas (though that was Johnson's first year playing running back). It's also certain that the Cardinals have no depth behind the injury-prone James Conner. Ingram does not need to stand out to outplay the likes of Corey Clement and Ty'Son Williams.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Reinforcement with Pacheco hurt
Ingram was signed to the Chiefs' 53-man roster off the practice squad Wednesday following the news that Isiah Pacheco is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks due to a fractured fibula.
ANALYSIS
Ingram joins rookie Carson Steele and veteran Samaje Perine on the active roster heading into a Week 3 matchup against the Falcons. Steele has averaged just 3.0 yards per carry and Perine hasn't recorded a rushing attempt in 2024 after averaging 3.1 YPC with the Broncos last season, so there could be an opening for Ingram to grab a larger role, though Ingram's own career average of 2.2 YPC doesn't inspire much confidence.
