2024 Fantasy Outlook
Robinson spent most of the 2023 campaign on Green Bay's practice squad before joining up with New Orleans in mid-December. He never appeared in a game for the Saints, but the team brought him back for running back depth this offseason. After breaking out for a 1,070 yards as a rookie in 2021, Robinson will likely have to start out the regular season on the practice squad with the hopes of working his way onto the Saints' roster as a second or third-stringer later on in the year. Caught up in roster cuts
The Saints cut Robinson on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson, who played only one game in 2023 and 11 contests in 2022, couldn't carve out a reserve role for himself behind Alvin Kamara in New Orleans' backfield despite Kendre Miller (hamstring) missing most of training camp and Jamaal Williams having been notably unproductive last season. Since suffering an Achilles tear back in 2021, Robinson has bounced between multiple organizations in the league. He'll look to earn another practice squad opportunity for the 2024 campaign, whether with the Saints or a new club.

Robinson had 263 scrimmage yards and four touchdowns in the first three games last year, which made for a triumphant return from the Achilles' tear he suffered Week 16 of 2021. But perhaps he returned a little too soon. After starting fast, Robinson produced just 113 yards over a four-week stretch before the Jaguars traded him to the Jets for a fifth-round pick. Robinson promptly appeared on the injury report with a knee injury after one week with the team, then suddenly seemed unable to run, producing just 90 yards and a score on 31 touches in four active games with the Jets while being inactive for six games. In March, the Patriots signed him to a two-year contract, but only $150,000 was guaranteed and they later released him in June. While he should get another chance elsewhere, it's not a great sign that the Patriots cut ties after seeing him practice for a couple weeks this spring.

Works out for Washington
Robinson worked out with the Commanders on Tuesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson hasn't made much of a fantasy impact since the 2022 season, and he's had just one carry since the start of the 2023 campaign. However, his workout is potentially notable given that the Commanders are dealing with injuries to both Brian Robinson and Austin Ekeler. The team also took a look at Boston Scott on Tuesday, though neither back is signed for now.
